Chris Stevens joined Spark Therapeutics as Head of Manufacturing in February 2017 where he leads all internal/external Drug Substance and Drug Product Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences and
Technology and Materials Management. He joined Spark from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) where he was
Sr. Director - Strategy, Ops and Planning for the Biopharm and Cell/Gene Therapy R&D units. Prior to this, Chris was responsible for the GMP clinical manufacturing operations at GSK including
manufacturing, supply chain, process technology and cell banking. Before GSK, he held roles of
increasing responsibility at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) in Manufacturing and Supply Chain at the BMS facility in Devens, MA. While at BMS, Chris also led efforts in operations management and the
implementation of advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and process modeling
technologies at sites in Indiana and Puerto Rico. Chris received his M.S. in Industrial Management
from the University of Southern Indiana and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
