Validation and Information Technology Principal Auditor, Quality Assurance
Jill Black is currently a Validation and Information Technology Principal Auditor in Quality Assurance at CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services. She has over 13 years of quality professional experience. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Jill, and her husband Craig, have two children, Jacob (9) and Emma (6). In May 2018 at only 18 months old, Jill’s daughter Emma was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that affects 1 in 10,000 females (and occurs even more rarely in males) and begins to display itself in missed milestones or regression at 6-18 months. Rett syndrome leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of life including the ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe easily. For Emma, Rett Syndrome has led to the inability for her to use her hands, speak, walk, and breathe easily. Jill is dedicated to raising awareness by telling Emma’s story to as many individuals as she can, educating others about what Rett Syndrome is, and raising funds for research by doing an annual Rett Strollathon.
