Mr. Spangler is currently Senior Manager of Quality at Baxter Healthcare. He is responsible for the Global CAPA Quality System. Through his daily work, he manages the coordination of activities related to execution of the CAPA Quality System and is responsible for CAPA process results and compliance with global regulations and standards. Blaine acts as coach, mentor, trainer, and advocate for site personnel on the CAPA process and serves as a Subject Matter Expert on various Quality boards.
Mr. Spangler received his B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and has over 21 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Over this time, he has gained first-hand experience and insight through a variety of roles within Environmental Monitoring, Laboratory Testing, Site Quality, and Global Quality, including customer complaints, audit, change control, and management review as well as CAPA. He is a certified Lean Six-Sigma Greenbelt and has successfully implemented effective CAPA systems for multiple pharmaceutical and medical device companies. As a Quality leader for over a decade, Blaine is a champion of continuous improvement and is focused on progressing the quality culture throughout the industry.
