Chris Grail is the head of Engineering and Maintenance Excellence at Bayer Pharmaceuticals since 2021, leading a critical function that serves as a key partner for development and manufacturing activities as well as CapEx investments within Product Supply. In this role, Chris is currently leading this function through a transformation process, alongside Bayer’s Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) journey.
With over 25 years of experience, Chris is a passionate and experienced Engineer who has held various positions globally, including in the Royal Navy, in Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies and in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Throughout his career, as an operative Engineer, consultant, and in international operations and technical leadership roles, Chris has demonstrated his strong commitment to bringing together the right people and skills in diverse teams, fostering collaboration, synergies and lean approaches to address challenges and deliver efficient outcomes that put the product and the patient at the center.
