Jessica L. Hale, PharmD, is an Associate Director in Global Regulatory Affairs at Merck (Rahway, NJ), responsible for leading regulatory activities related to US drug shortages and deletions and emerging device/digital health development, while serving as a subject matter expert on FDA and other health authority regulations regarding these topics. Prior to her current role, she led drug shortage prevention and global product strategy as a Regulatory Affairs Associate Director at Organon (Jersey City, NJ). She joined Merck as a regulatory affairs intern in 2017, with prior pharmacy experience in both the hospital and community settings, in addition to conducting pharmaceutical formulation research. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Western New England University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, she remained within Regulatory Affairs, focusing on global drug shortage prevention, as well as continuing to support regulatory aspects of medical devices, combination products, and digital health solutions.
