CAPT Jill Hammond is an Engineering Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and serves as the Director of Training & Regulatory Science for the FDA Compounding Quality Center of Excellence and as a Program Manager in the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) Office of Compounding Quality and Compliance (OCQC). CAPT Hammond leads the development and delivery of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) trainings for the Compounding industry to improve the quality of compounded drugs. She also oversees regulatory science research projects to help inform policy, regulatory, and enforcement decisions.

CAPT Hammond earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&TSU) and Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining the U. S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, Jill worked as Process and Manufacturing Engineers and Project Managers in various industries including pharmaceuticals, specialty materials, telecommunications, and health policy.
