Keith Beattie has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2006, he first discovered a passion for sustainability whilst working at Eli Lilly, where he developed sustainability in a complex research and development laboratory campus, resulting in a 30% reduction in energy use and the facility being awarded the Carbon Trust Standard for energy management, a first in the industry. Since 2013, Keith has been leading a global engineered solution provider, specializing in advising and assisting pharmaceutical and life-science sector clients to deliver on their carbon, energy, and water re-duction goals as well as compliance and product quality requirements. Keith is member of the ISPE Sustainable Facilities, HVAC and Controlled Environ-ments Community of Practice, and significantly contributed to the creation of ISO 14644-16 (energy efficiency guidelines for cleanrooms). He has been an ISPE member since 2013.
