Lead Process Mechanical Engineer
Michael DeBellis is a Lead Process Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania with over 40 years of diversified experience in the engineering and design of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and process facilities. His experience is in the design, specification, and operation of biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, finishing processes, granulation, tableting, tablet coating, explosion prevention, and related process utility equipment and systems. He has been an active Member of ISPE since 1997, previously authored an article published in Pharmaceutical Engineering, “Dust Explosion Protection in Pharmaceutical Processing" and "Design Considerations for Aseptic Liquid Vial Filling and Lyophilization Operations Within High Containment Isolators - Parts 1 and 2. Mr. DeBellis has also collaborated on the development of the second and third editions of the Baseline® Guide for Oral Solid Dosage Forms and was a co-chapter leader of the Product and Processing chapter team. Mike has served as both Chair and Co-Chair of the OSD CoP over the past years. Mike has also served two terms as the Programs Committee Vice President and in 2021 was bestowed the chapters "Buz Lange Award" for his service to the Delaware Valley Chapter and the ISPE commuity. He is currently a second term active Director serving on the Chapter's Board of Directors.
