ISPE Volunteer Week Spotlight: Women in Pharma® Volunteer
COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented change and disruption to each of our daily lives. All of us around the world are touched by the current pandemic, whether it be personal hardship or professional life challenges. We have seen our communities and our industry rally to work together for the good of public health and humanity. Our ISPE family is no different; several of our local Affiliates and Chapters have led efforts within their community or country to support responses to the impact of COVID-19.
Our network of Members and volunteers is being leveraged for tremendous positive impact in many places around the world. ISPE is celebrating our volunteers from 27 April - 1 May during ISPE Volunteer Week. Each day we will be spotlighting a group of ISPE volunteers highlighting the ways they are getting involved at ISPE to make an impact with the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
Volunteer Role: Women in Pharma® (WIP) Mentor Circle Leader
Jeannine has been an ISPE member since 2017. She established the Women in Pharma® Mentor Circle and has spent an exorbitant amount of time over the past 16 months developing promotional and educational materials, training programs, and toolkit materials. She has engaged with numerous ISPE members who have become mentors and/or mentees and established their own local Mentor Circles. All this while working full time and being a single parent to a one-year-old boy.
Volunteer Role: Women in Pharma® (WIP) Chapter and Affiliate Liaison
Stephanie has been an ISPE member since 2002. Her dedication to Women in Pharma® has led to the development of numerous Women in Pharma® toolkit items (including a fully comprehensive checklist for anyone wanting to implement a Women in Pharma® event at an ISPE Conference) and the implementation of several highly successful Women in Pharma® meetings and sessions. Stephanie is also the Women in Pharma® Chapter and Affiliate Liaison, making herself available for assistance and information to Women in Pharma® leads around the globe.
Volunteer Role: Women in Pharma® Chair
Jennifer works hard with the Women in Pharma® Steering committee to ensure that Women in Pharma® launches new initiatives, provides innovative and educational content and programs, and supports women in our industry. Her passion and commitment are evident in the exciting and rapid growth that Women in Pharma® at ISPE is experiencing, from member engagement and collaboration to new programs and (now virtual) events occurring around the globe.
